About Mysore Self Practice
Work through the Ashtanga sequence at your own pace with your own breath. I will teach you the poses one by one to suit your body and circumstances so that you are able to memorise them and practice at home in your own space and to your schedule. The two hour window for Mysore practice on a Thursday is for us to work together in a connected safe space where you can do as you feel each time you come. I can provide you with practice sheets so that you can become familiar with the postures and bend the outline of the set sequence to meet your changing needs.. Last entrance is 725am. Please bring a mat. Wear comfortable clothing. We try to keep the space as quiet as possible.
I’m not flexible enough for Yoga?
You do not need to be flexible to start yoga - some flexibility is a by-product of a yoga practice. You just need to be willing and a little determined.
Am I too old to start Yoga?
You are never too old to start Yoga. Everything can be adapted to suit your body, age and injuries. Please message me with any questions.
I’m pregnant - can I come to your Yoga class?
If you are an established Yogi before pregnancy then I’m happy to have you in class. If however you are in your first trimester and have not done Yoga before it’s best that you find a pregnancy yoga class or course.
What do I need to wear and bring to Yoga? What about food?
Wear comfortable stretchy clothing and bring a yoga mat - not too thick - 5mm or under is perfect. I would advise not eating a large meal at least 3 hours before your Yoga session. Bring a little sense of humour!
